Bloemfontein Celtic
Full Time
Joel Mogorosi 47
Lyle Lakay 61
Dominic Isaacs 63
FT FULL-TIME: And that's it! Bloemfontein Celtic are the 2012 Telkom Knockout champions!
90 The fourth official announces there will be four minutes added on, although Celtic almost just wrapped it up with a long range shot from Gamildien, although he's desperately unlucky to see his effort come back off the base of the post.
89 Still no joy for Sundowns as they just can't seem to break down a very well oiled Celtic defence. The Brazilians created a good chance from a free-kick out wide, but Alje Schut's header is off target and flies over.
85 Around five minutes plus stoppages for Sundowns to find something here.
82 SUBSTITUTION: Final change for Celtic now as Auguston Leonard is introduced at the expense of Limbikani Mzava.
81 Meanwhile, we're into the final nine minutes here in the 2012 Telkom Knockout, but it will feel like hours for the Celtic players, coaches and fans as they look to hang on to their lead.
80 Alje Schut is down in a heap after being stepped on by Tsietsi Mahoa, and that looked a real painful one and he's forced to limp off for attention.
77 SUBSTITUTION: Changes coming thick and fast now, with Jacky Motshegwa coming on for Lyle Lakay.
75 SUBSTITUTION: Another change for Johan Neeskens now as Nyasha Mushekwi is introduced at the expense of Richard Henyekane.
73 What a run by Anthony Laffor, and the only thing missing from that is a goal. The former SupeSport United man breaks down the pitch and skips past one, two, three defenders before opening his body to curl the ball, but he's falling as he makes connection and the shot is straight at the grateful goalkeeper.
71 Confusion in the Celtic area now as one of their players stay down as Sundowns continue their attack, and Rodgers looks to be caught by a high boot and goes down, but the referee only blows for the Phunya Sele Sele man to receive treatment, and replays show no contact was made in the second incident.
70 Sundowns have seen plenty of the ball recently, and Laffor almost picks out the head of Teko Modise, but the goalkeeper gets there first and punches well clear.
66 Another wasted chance by Modise now as he wins possession on the edge of the area only to wildly fire his shot miles over.
65 YELLOW CARD: Meanwhile, Dominic Isaascs is now also shown a yellow for clipping the heels of Eleazar Rodgers. The resulting free-kick is not very good though as Modise scoops his effort well over.
64 Teko Modise looks to put this one in, but his delivery is too low and the defence can wallop clear. Celtic break from that and find themselves three-on-three again, but once again they are unable to make the most of the situation.
63 Antohony Laffor is quickly into his task and wins his side a free-kick in a promising area...
62 YELLOW CARD: Lyle Lakay becomes the first player to go into the referee's notebook for what I can only make out to be dissent towards the match official.
61 Meanwhile, Celtic have a corner to deal with, although the delivery is over everyone and eventually comes back off the opposite corner flag, giving the Celtic defence plenty of time to clear.
60 SUBSTITUTION: A forced change for Celtic now as an injured Letladi Madubanya comes off for Itumeleng Duiker.
59 SUBSTITUTION: First change of the night comes from the Sundowns dugout, with Samuel Julies making way for Anthony Laffor.
58 Sundowns in the ascendancy at the moment, and Teko Modise has just lashed a fierce volley inches wide of the goal.
56 Celtic look much more comfortable now that they have a goal, although some over-confidence allows Sundowns to win the ball in a dangerous position, but the final pass is too strong and eventually goes out for a goal-kick.
53 Sundowns are appealing for a penalty now as a cross appears to hit the arm of Dominic Isaacs, but the referee is quick to wave away the appeals, and seplays show he got it spot on.
51 Celtic almost grab a second now as a swift counter ends with Ruzaigh Gamildien unleashing from the edge of the area, although his shot flies just wide of the mark.
48 Just two minutes after the restart and Celtic are in front, although it's a highly controversial goal. A deep corner leaves Sandilands in no-man's land before the ball is flicked on to Joel Mogorosi, and although his header appears to be legitimately cleared off the line, the referee sees things differently and awards the goal.
47 GOAL! Sundowns 0-1 Bloem Celtic! Joel Mogorosi!
46 And we're back under way for the second-half!
HT HALF-TIME: Neither side has been able to find a way through in the opening 45 minutes, but that's not to say there haven't been chances. Still, we'll be hoping for better in the second period, so join me after the break to find out.
45 The fourth official shows there will be two minutes of time added on here at the end of the half.
44 He's all patched up now though and we're ready to resume.
43 A break in play now as Patrick Tignyemb goes down after apparently twisting something in a routine clearance. He stays down and the medical staff are quickly out to attend, and Larsen will be hoping the gloveman is okay to continue.
42 FEEDBACK: One of our regular readers, Nazly from Cape Town, emailed in: "The game's been okay so far, but some goals would really set things alight! I think Sundowns have the quality tonight, so I'm going for a 2-0 win for Neeskens' men!"
40 A corner for Sundowns now which is floated to the far-post, but the Celtic defence easily cope with it, only to lose possession in their own half. Fortunately for Clinton Larsen's side, the Brazilians are unable to make the most of it as a loose pass goes out for a goal-kick.
37 The set-piece is played short with Madubanya being set up for the shot, but he drills his effort straight into a defender and the ball is cleared.
36 Some sustained pressure from Celtic now, and they've won themselves a corner...
33 Letladi Madubanya gets a sight of goal following a weak clearance, but from a full 30-yards out he's going to need a lot more power than he's just shown following a rather weak volley which won't trouble Sandilands.
30 Celtic attack now as the Sundowns defence fail to deal with a long ball into the area, but Ruzaigh Gamildien's low drive fizzes just wide of the up-right.
27 Great move from Sundowns now as they flick the ball around with some sultry one-touch play, but the defence just get in a challenge to put off Richard Henyekane, who fires his shot wide of the mark.
25 The ball is laid off for a shot, but the ball is struck straight at the wall, while the rebound is also met by a crowd of bodies.
24 A free-kick in a promising position here as Clayton Daniels steps in front of Thabo Nthethe after he had pushed the ball past the defender...
23 Sundowns break on the counter three versus three, but they just don't have the pace to make it count as the Celtic defence get back quickly to thwart what looked a really dangerous situation.
21 Teko Modise attempts to bulldoze his way through the Celtic defence, and although he does get past two markers, he's eventually outmuscled and the danger is cleared.
19 Themba Zwane's definitely been Sundowns' liveliest player so far, but he'll have to do much better than that after breaking through on goal only tolash a wild shot wide of the angle.
17 Wayne Sandilands is called into action for the first time, and the goalkeeper does really well to close the angle after Lennox Bacela had come baring down on goal from out wide, while the follow up shot is wayward and won't trouble the keeper.
15 It's end-to-end stuff at the moment, with Teko Modise rampaging down almost the entire length of the pitch only to see a final one-two on the edge of the area go askew, while down at the other end some quality defending from Downs prevents Lennox Bacela from troubling the goalkeeper.
12 It may have been Celtic who started the brighter, but it's Sundowns now who are dominating play and some decent running and quick passing cuts the defence wide open, but Esrom Nyandoro's final delivery is wayward and Phunya Sele Sele can relieve the pressure.
9 We've just had our first shot on target for the night, with Themba Zwane curling a shot straight at Patrick Tignyemb, but it's the second effort that gives reason to get excited as Teko Modise's shot is well saved by the goalkeeper, who dives to his right to just tip the ball away from the top corner.
6 A nice move from Sundowns now as they pass their way down the wing before a far-post delivery is cushioned down for Richard Henyekane, but he completely fluffs his attempted volley and Siwelele can clear.
4 Sundowns' chance to attack now as they break on the counter attack with pace, but Themba Zwane hesitates to pass to a team-mate and the chance goes begging.
2 It's Celtic who create the first real attack here as some slick passing down the left ends with a cross into the area, but there's not enough purchase on the delivery and Clayton Daniels can clear.
1 The 2012 Telkom Knockout final is under way!
The crowd are in fine voice here at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and sung their hearts out there. Meanwhile, South Africa deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe delivers a few words on what is National AIDS Day. Otherwise, the business of football is not too far away, and I'm sure everyone inside this venue cannot wait for the first whistle to be blown.
All rise for the South African national anthem...
We're around 10 minutes away from the kick-off now, and the players are getting the pre-match formalities out the way, with a few dignitaries being introduced to the players.
FEEDBACK: We're still some way off from the start, so why not get involved by emailing your thoughts or predictions to ryan.gordon@teamtalkmedia.com.
However, this is cup football, and whether you're dreaming of life at the top of the PSL standings or battling relegation, which is the case with both these sides respectively, when it comes to the allure of silverware at your fingertips, anything is possible.
The two sides met just one week ago, in the Premier Soccer League, where it was the Brazilians who snatched all three points with a 1-0 victory at the Free State Stadium.
WELCOME The anticipation has been building up since the first ball was kicked this season, and tonight there will be a new Telkom Knockout champion. I'm Ryan Gordon and I'll be taking you through all the action as Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic clash in the final. Kick-off is at 20:15.
